Not getting tattoo'd up is the new getting tattoo'd up.

Remember back a decade or two when getting a tattoo was going against the grain? Now it's the opposite. Everyone from ball players to janitors have tattoos now. They've become so common that they lost the exotic wow factor. And most of the times...the tattoos themselves are usually garbage, something with no meaning....just the 'in trend' at the moment. Something like the tribal band or stars behind the ears now.

  1. My motto is and always will be:
"I wake up today, tattoo-free, and if i'd like to get a tat, I can do so, at any time.
    However
"If i wake up today, marked in any way by a tattoo i can never just decide to be ink-free"

Therefore I feel like not having a tattoo but respecting the art form is the best of both worlds.

Kind of like a person who likes the taste of some fine alcoholic beverage, but decides to abstain for health reasons, but keeps an old fine bottle of bourbon around handy, just in case one day he does decide he wants a sip.

  3. Where's your blog, dude?

And yeah, man...I know a lot of people around my age, 23-24, who already regret tats. They do it on the spur of the moment, usually dared by friends.

I've seen a guy at the gym who had a tattoo removed and honestly, it looks like crap. It looks like a big scar.

i feel guilty for not letting celest (you remember her right?) get tattoo's. We are still together! Crazy huh?

Anyhow tattoos are beautiful on some folks, if you make it your path and really get nice work done and in abundance. Half-assing it, trying to get a few tatts is just tacky IMO. You either say "fuck society and the corporate world or you don't)

folks that make it their calling to follow art or other sectors of non conservative workworld. I believe those folks should get tattoo's and let the rest of us 9-5'ers appreciate them and keep it mellow IMO.
