The World Wide Web truly connects the world together. I remember when I first visited the homeland (Thailand) about 10 years ago and it felt like I was in a different world. Now...it almost feels like America. I hear the same music as I would here. Fashion sense is similar. It's sorta like America, but with the heritage twist.
I think you can even go to the most remote part of the world and if they somehow have access to the 'net, they would be up on things that is going on in other parts of the world.
